The long-term relationships we have with our partners are rewarding for both parties.

We constantly challenge, review and refresh how we work.  We continually seek out ways to improve and be more efficient. We plan better so we work together better.

And while the core competencies firmly remain in Dassault Aviation’s hands, the company has numerous partners throughout Europe, Canada and the US.

CATIA: Dassault’s Secret to Seamless Collaboration with its Partners

Dassault Aviation has grown to be a world leader in the development and application of advanced computer-aided design tools. For example, the ground-breaking Rafale fighter was the first airplane designed entirely with Dassault Systèmes CATIA (Computer Aided Three Dimensional Interactive Application). Our engineers pioneered the ‘virtual design’ concepts now used by leading aerospace and automobile companies around the world.

The development of the Falcon 7X pushed the boundaries of design and production technologies even further. And Dassault’s partners were integral to this process right from the beginning.

All Falcon 7X partners and Dassault engineers were co-located at Saint-Cloud, near Paris, in September 2001 for the Preliminary Design Phase. At the peak of the development effort, 400 people from 27 companies and seven countries were working together.

A seamless collaborative process was put into place so everyone involved could access and work on the 3D digital mock-up of the Falcon 7X. This single, shared database allowed all partners real-time access, whether in Saint-Cloud or at their home base halfway around the world.
