Dassault Aircraft Services Completes Unique Summer Fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Foundation
Orlando, Florida
10/29/2012
Acknowledging the success of the fundraiser in a letter, Rosemarie Lenoir, the Regional Director of the Delaware Make-A-Wish Foundation, wrote, “…the brilliant idea of decorating the plane with colorful hand-prints; the many hard-working employees that made the idea come to life; and, the extremely supportive and generous employees and guests at the event – all combined to produce a soaring success!”

The fundraiser took place during a “Summerfest” event at Dassault Falcon’s Wilmington Service Center and involved employees and their families, enthusiasts of antique cars and bikes and a local aviation group. To further raise awareness, the aircraft was displayed at the IAC booth at the 2012 EAA AirVenture, where thousands of additional people were able to view the unique paint design.
The aircraft was donated by Falcon employee Olivier Langeard who has owned and flown this type of airplane for over five years. Participants in the fundraiser included young children as well as the Governor of the State of Delaware. A total of approximately $3,000 was raised for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Additional assistance for the event was provided by Dassault Falcon partners, DuPont, who provided the paint, and Rockwell Collins and Honeywell, who made monetary contributions toward the fundraiser. Dassault Falcon employees at the service center provided the labor to strip and paint the aircraft in advance of the event. Since 1980, Make-A-Wish has focused on supporting the dreams of children with life-threatening medical conditions, and has granted over 225,000 wishes.
