About the job
To provide for aircraft approval for return to service by ensuring all requirements for airworthiness have been met with respect to work performed for the work that the Service Center (FAA Certified Repair Station) is rated.

Please note that this position is located in Reno, NV.
Maintains complete knowledge of the work scope of assigned aircraft
Determines airworthiness requirements for aircraft undergoing inspection (reference FAR 43.15)
Verifies inspection program is applicable to assigned aircraft
Computes aircraft weight and balance
Performs conformity inspections for certification projects
Supports import/export airworthiness approval
Verifies technical data acceptable to and/or approved by the FAA, has been used to provide inspection and approval for return to service with respect to work performed
Ensures all documents and records meet regulatory requirements
Ensures corrective action(s) provides for complete correction of discrepancy
Provide(s) record(s) of major repairs and alterations (reference FAA 337)
Provides maintenance record entries with respect to work performed
Adheres to general work and safety requirements
May travel to locations other than Repair Station fixed location to support customer aircraft
Supports production aircraft Production Certificate System
Assists other employees in the performance of their duties with areas of qualification
Is responsible for Quality Assurance on all work performed
May perform other duties assigned by management.
Required qualifications
Possess a Mechanics certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
Minimum three years experience in aircraft maintenance and alteration of turbo fan powered business aircraft
Experience with the methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment and tools used to perform aircraft maintenance and alterations
Thoroughly familiar with the applicable regulations and proficient in the use of the various inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment and tools appropriate for the work being performed and approved for return to service
Specific working knowledge of FAR 43, FAR 145, FAR 91 subpart E
Specific working knowledge of the RSM/QCM and Repair Station Forms
Intermediate level proficiency in Word & Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly motivated individual who can work unsupervised for extended period of times
Demonstrate Excellent Customer Service skills
