About the Job
The Special Project Manager will act as lead in understanding our Marketing business processes and requirements and work with technical and non-technical internal resources to facilitate efficient business processes and the technical solutions as well as their implementation. This diverse position will also be the key person on RFP’s and similar projects that include multiple marketing departments that are undertaken to advance our sales efforts and department efficiencies.
 
Responsibilities
Analysis and Solution Definition
• Quickly assimilates on-going business issues and data challenges of the Marketing organization and industry.
• Identifies the organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
• Reviews and edits requirements, specs, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
• Develops Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications Documents (FSD), screen maps, and other process flows.
 
Technical Recommendation and Testing
• Leads testing efforts.
• Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
• Works with Marketing personnel to identify required changes.
• Communicates needed changes to development team.
 
Project Execution
• Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
• Is the internal point of contact for all sales RFPs and coordinates their successful integration from various resources.
• Communicates and applies project standards.
• Manages resources in accordance with project schedule.
• Consistently delivers high-quality services to the organization.
• Understands the components of running a fiscally successful project.
• Leads functional training efforts for assigned products.
 
Communication and Internal Operations
• Communicates effectively while identifying needs and evaluates alternative business solutions with management.
• Continually seeks opportunities to increase market share.
• Manages organization’s expectations effectively.
• Conducts effective progress evaluations in a timely manner.
• Mentors those with less experience through informal channels.
• Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
 
Other duties may be assigned by Management in order to meet department/business objectives on an as-needed basis.
 
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration or related field
• Minimum of five (5) years of related business analysis experience
• Minimum of three (3) years involvement in CRM environment, Siebel or similar
• Advanced skills in working with Microsoft Office Professional
• Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access or similar
• Experience with Document Management Software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be detail oriented and able to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Must be proactive to responsibilities and challenges instead of reactive
• MBA, Project Management and/or Business Systems Analyst Certification a plus
• Aircraft-related experience a plus
• Training associated with CRM applications preferred
• Working Knowledge of French a plus, but not required
• Experience working with Sales and Marketing, Contracts and Customer Service preferred
